Grinds are performed on rails, ledges, and coping. They're essential for combo extension and maintaining flow.

Basic Combo Structure

    Launch: Use bunny hop or ramp to get airborne

    Air Trick: Execute spin, flip, or barspin while in air
  3. 3
    Land to Manual: Press manual button on landing to extend combo
  4. 4
    Grind: Approach rail or ledge while in manual, transition to grind
  5. 5
    Manual Exit: Exit grind into manual, continue or finish combo

Why it works: Simple tricks that are easy to land, with two manual sections to keep combo alive. Perfect for practicing the flow.

Intermediate

Street Line Special

Ramp Launch → Backflip + 360 → Manual → Ledge Grind → Manual → Gap Jump → Tailwhip → Feeble Grind → Land

Why it works: Combines air tricks with multiple grinds and a gap for bonus points. Uses variety for multiplier boost.

The Megacombo

Wallride → Gap → Double Backflip + 540 → Manual → Transfer → Icepick Grind → Manual → Roof Gap → Barspin + 360 → Feeble Grind (3 sec) → Manual → Superman → Land

Why it works: Maximum variety (no repeated tricks), special spot bonuses (wallride, transfer, roof gap), extended grinds, and perfect execution. This is what mastery looks like.

Understanding the Scoring System

How Points Are Calculated

Base Trick Points

  • • Simple tricks: 100-500 points
  • • Intermediate tricks: 500-1,500 points
  • • Advanced tricks: 1,500-3,000 points
  • • Expert tricks: 3,000-5,000 points

Combo Multiplier

Your combo multiplier increases with:

  • • Number of tricks in combo
  • • Trick variety (no repeats = bonus)
  • • Special location bonuses
  • • Clean landings maintain multiplier
Formula:
Base Multiplier = 1.0x
Each Trick = +0.2x
Variety Bonus = +0.5x (every 5 unique tricks)
Special Spot = +1.0x
Crash = Combo lost

  • Gap Bonus: +500-2,000 per gap
  • Transfer Bonus: +300-1,000 per transfer
  • Wallride Bonus: +200-800
  • Hidden Spot Bonus: +1,000-5,000
  • Manual Extension: +50 per second
